Would you happen to know the relationship with Christina (McKenzie) McLennan?

Thanks Roddie = no I don't know the relationship but I will try to find out. Sadly my mother, the only child of Mr and Mrs MacMartin to survive to adulthood died just a few years ago altho I do recollect she talked about a McLennan family in Diabaig and as a child I visited John and/or Donald McLennan who ran the Marine Stores in Kyle. I have also now found a gravestone (Image No. 12382) for Mrs MacMartins brother John, who died in 1947 or 48 and his wife Jessie (who lived in Plockton)in Applecross Cemetery. So thanks again.

Hello, In the census records, Jessie is shown as being raised by Christina and Donald Maclennan, but as a cousin. This I presume is why Christina was buried in the same grave as Jessica and her daughter, baby Jessica. It sounds very sad Jessica dying so young and soon after having baby Jessica, and then for the baby to also die at 17 months.

gravestone of my grandmother, the existence of which I was
unaware. In July this year I am hoping to visit Diabaig (after approx 60 years) and now will hope to visit the graveyard.
