In/loving memory/of/MURDOCH McLEOD/born at Coigach Ross-shire 1856/died at Balintore Ross-shire 1936/husband of/CATHERINE FRASER/also the said/CATHERINE FRASER/born 10th February 1876/died 13th July 1963/and their daughter/CHRISTINA CAROLINE McLEOD/born 6th July 1897/died 5th Oct. 1950.

Death year for Murdoch should read as "1936", I have a copy of his obit. His son, Donald Fraser McLeod, had the Balintore Hotel where Murdoch died. D.F. went on to have a greengrocers on Marchmont Road, Edinburgh, still in operation as "D. F. McLeod" (no idea if his family still the owners)

Murdo and Catherine were my grandparents. Granny lived with us, and died in our house in Bournemouth in 1963. My mother was her daughter (Catherine/Katherine Murdoch nee MacLeod). Uncle Don did indeed have the Balintore Hotel and subsequently a greengrocers in Edinburgh.

Murdoch was born 1857 at Reiff in Coigach to Donald MacLeod and Chirsty maiden surname MacLeod. Donald was a brother of Elizabeth, one of my gt-gt-gt-grandparents
