John & Jessie Macleod & family.

Erected/by the family/in loving memory/of their parents/who died at Rose Cottage, Strathpeffer/JOHN MACLEOD Oct 6 1916 aged 64/JESSIE MACLEOD Sep. 13 1919, aged 69/and their daughter-in-law/FLORENCE ROTHWELL died Sep. 15 1919, aged 30/beloved wife of KENNETH MACLEOD/also their children/CHRISSIE, JOHN and BARBARA/who died in infancy/and interred in Inverness/their sons L/C DAVID MACLEOD/stretcher bearer/killed after the Battle of the Somne/July 1916/KENNETH MACLEOD died 28th Nov. 1959/beloved husband of MARY TUACH/Midhope, Strathpeffer/who died suddenly 4th April 1965.



Sadly missed/At rest.

David probably was McLEOD, DAVID Lance Corporal 1986 23/07/1916 4th Bn. Seaforth Highlanders commemorated Pier and Face 15 C. THIEPVAL MEMORIAL, only L/C D. Macleod or Mcleod killed July 1916 no known grave, CWGC often omit/insert A
