In/loving memory of/GEORGE MACRAE/who died 24 February 1940/aged 63 years/also his dear wife/JEMIMA/who died at Coulshill/Auchterarder/19 August 1977/aged 95 years.

These are my grandparents. I never knew my grandfather. My father, James MacRae, now 90 himself who along with my mother and me live in Auchterarder in Perthshire, is one of probably only two people alive now who would have known his own father. My grandmother was known to both my parents, my sister and me, my uncle's widow and her family of 3. We spent my 23rd birthday taking her from Auchterarder to Lochalsh Kirkton to be buried beside my grandfather who had died 37 years earlier. I have some relatives buried in Balmacara New Cemetery but I do not see that listed among the burial grounds. Is it listed under some other name?
