Isabella (McKenzie) Bain.


Here lie the remains of/ISABELLA McKENZIE/widow of Mr WILLIAM BAIN from/Strathglass and sister of Bailie ALEX./MACKENZIE late of Fortrose/who departed this life 22nd Dec.1815/aged 90.Humanity & benevolence were/prominent features in her character/which were in all so exemplary as/to endear her to her relations and/friends.This stone is placed here by her affectionate and only surviving son ALEX. BAIN Esq. late/of the Bahaman Islands now of Leigh/Street/Brunswick Square/London.

I am a direct descendant of Isabella McKenzie Bain and would like more information on the Bains and/or McKenzies of this line. I have the Bain line traced all the way back to Isabell's husband, William Bain, but I have not been able to find much information on William. I have just discovered the McKenzie line and have absolutely no information this line of the McKenzie family. Any information on either line would be appreciated.
