Donald & Elizabeth (Noble) McKenzie, Johanna.

1858/Erected/by/JOHN McKENZIE/shoemaker, Gateside/Munlochy/in memory of his father/DONALD McKENZIE/mason, Knockbain/who died 3rd February 1855/aged 90 years/and of his mother/ELIZABETH NOBLE/who died 20th November 1866/aged 90 years/also of his daughter/JOHANNA who died at Gateside/24th March 1858/aged 11 months.

Elizabeth Noble is my great great great grandmother and actually died in 1866, not 1856 as typed. Thank you for having this photo it really helped me locate where some of my family are buried.

I also appreciated this photo as the information on the stone helped me trace my ancestors back another generation although my research shows that the son John states his father(Donald)is a mason but census returns have him as a Shoemaker.
