Alexander & Madelina (Fraser) Dewar, d. Rose Ann.
**Here lie the remains of the Rev.** ALEXANDER DEWAR/who was the faithful pastor of the Congregational Church/in this place/from its formation in 1804/until he departed this life/on the 30th day of Aug./1849/aged 64 years/his extensive and unwearied/labours during the period/of his ministry for the/temporal and spiritual welfare/not only of his own faith but of his countrymen/throughout the Highlands/his upright Christian/character/was for him/the respect, esteem love/of all who knew him/Here also/lie the remains of/MADELINA FRASER/his spouse/who slept in Jesus/on the 28th day of Dec./1830/aged 38 years/and of his daughter/ROSE ANN/whose spirit returned/to her God and saviour/on the 25th day of June 1846/aged 19 years.
This erection has been placed/here as a memorial/of affection and respect/by the members of the family/and/their freinds.
