In/memory of/Mrs ELIZABETH REID/daughter of the late/PETER REID Esq./of Kinnarirdie/of well cultivated mind/and refined manners/adorned by a/regularly amiable disposition/and satisfaction by the graces/of the Holy Spirit/She devoted a long life to the/cause and honour of her/Lord and Saviour/and the God of her fellow men./She funded and endowed/Reid's Free Church Female School/in Dingwall/and contributed largely/to the several schemes/of the Free Church/he lived life of the/righteous/and died in the faith and hope/of a blessed immortality/on 16th March 1858.
