Hector & Jane (Mackenzie) Bethune, Hector & Janet.

Beneath this pillar/slumber/in the blessed hope of/a glorious resurrection/to everlasting hope/the mortal remains/of the/Rev. HECTOR BETHUNE/who for a period of/thirty years faithfully/discharged the pastoral/duties of this parish.He was/born August 12th 1782/ordained September 28th 1802/died December 31st 1849.



Erected by his/parishioners, co-presbyters/and other friends in grateful remembrance/of one/when they respected/esteemed and loved/The memory of the just is/blessed.


In memory of/HECTOR RODERICK/his youngest son/who died 16th October 1853/aged 23 years.

also in memory of/JANE MACKENZIE/his widow/who died on the 5 of July 1878/aged 90 years/and of her youngest daughter/JANET MUNRO BETHUNE/who died on the 11th of Feb. 1910/in her eighty-sixth year.
