I wonder I am looking for a family of Dingwalls, John Dingwall birth 27 Aug 1811, lived and probably died in Dingwall. His parents were John Dingwall birth 1772 and wife Mary (Golan) Dingwall. This might be him. Can't tell though. Also looking for Peter Ferguson and wife Catherine (Dingwall) Ferguson who lived in Dingwall and probably died there. At times Peter was a Salmon fisher in Avoch while his family lived Dingwall. I can find Catherine at her mother's place in the 1851 census. Census recorder just had her down as Catherine Dingwall. Information on census bares it out I have the right family.
