Placed here by/THOMAS BAIN farmer/Navity & HELEN WATSON/to the memory of their son/ALEXANDER BAIN who/departed this life June 1808/aged 43 years/Their daughter GRACE BAIN/spouse to KENNETH STEWART/mason who departed this/life October the 8th 1820/aged 27 years./Also/to the memory/of/KENNETH STEWART/mason, who departed this/life on the 10th Novr 1846/aged 62 years.

Alexander Bain is in our tree. We believe the transcription is incorrect at the end of the 6th line, as we have him b. Nov. 1795 & d. June, 1838. This site is wonderful! Thank you so much for all you are doing.

Thanks Kathleen. I'm sure you're right. However, it looks more like an '0' rather than a '3' on the image. I'll check it again on the ground.
