In/loving memory of/JAMES ROSS/carter/who died 29th September 1964/aged 83 years/also his sons/JOHN who died/2nd March 1886 aged 8 years/DONALD who died/21st June 1900 aged 24 years/also his wife/JESSIE MACKENZIE/who died 21 April 1916/aged 76 years/also their son JAMES who died/of wounds received in action/at the Battle of Vimy Ridge/on the 10 April 1917/interred at Roglimcourt/near Arras.
