Erected as a public testimony of the/respect and esteem in which he was/held wherever his duties led him/as amrk of public appreciation not/only of is skill but of his usefulness/and zealous attention to his patients/studiuosly devoted to his profession/he was eminently successful in his/medical career, peculiarly kind, gentle/and considerate his services were ever/ready to the calls of the poor/his memory will be long cherished by/many friends.
