Erected/by/JOHN ROSS/cabinetmaker in Tain/in memory of his beloved wife/HELEN MACKAY/who died 19th April 1855/aged 38  years/also of their children/MARGARET/who died 16th January 1847/DONALD/who died 25th January 1852/MARGARET/who died 4th June 1854/and an infant/who died 15th April 1855/and also the said/JOHN ROSS/who died at Tain 7th May 1888 aged 69 years.
