In/loving memory/of/ANNABELLA MATHESON/wife of/G. F. IRVINE, Nigg/born 19th June 1856/died 9th June 1884/also of the above/GEORGE FORBES IRVINE/born 12th May 1851, died at Tain 8th June 1916.

Annabella died in childbirth - her first child, Anna Irvine (married Charles Ross) was my grandmother. George Forbes Irvine was born in Australia and was brought by his parents to Bute in the early 1860s. He was orphaned at an early age and brought up by his mother's sisters in Caithness, the Williamsons. Any info welcome!
