GEORGE GORDON MACKINNON/died/2nd January/1849/aged 42 years/and his wife/BARBARA MACBEAN/died 18 May 1879/asged 72 years.

The headstone photograph above is that of my gr, gr, gr grandparents - my gr, gr, grandmother Mary Mc(Mac)Kinnon (b.1833) settled in Victoria, Australia. She married Nelson Hubbert and had eight children. Mary's husband died the year after her mother Barbara (MacBean) McKinnon died. The headstone on the R/H side is that of the Urquharts who are also related to the MacKinnons. I am searching for relatives who may still live in the Rosemarkie area. Thank you for the surprise of finding my ancestors' headstone. It is a wonderful service.
