Annie Taylor Skinner (nee Manson) is one of 5 children born to David and Janet Manson. Annie married widower John Skinner on 9.12.1853. (John's 1st wife was Christian Fiddler). The marriage was short lived as of the 1861 Cromarty census revealed Annie widowed aged 24 living at 20 Shore Street, Cromarty with her two sons, Alexander and David aged six and five years. Annie's two boys emigrated to Australia in March, 1884 on board a ship named the 'Bann' which sailed from Glasgow. They are both buried at Rookwood cemetery, Sydney, N.S.W. David Manson Skinner is my Great grandfather. I am only too pleased to add to this if anyone is interested or if you have something to add, I would be happy to hear from you..
