This seems to be the grave of Isabella Matheson who was baptised July 23rd 1821 and was the daughter of Alexander Matheson Inn Keeper and his wife Anna Mc Donald whose address in the 1841 and later censuses is either Inchgown or Inchgown Cottage which is beside the Old Inn at the sea end of Flowerdale. The place name on the first 6 inch map is Innisgobhain. Anna Mc Donald's mother was an Isabella Fraser from Resolis on the Black Isle who married Thomas Mc Donald, mesenger of Dingwall in 1787 . Alexander Matheson is listed as retired licensed inn keeper in 1851 and in 1861 as Postmaster. Maps show the Post Office at the cottage.

A survey in 1985 gives the date of her death as 8 December 1827 aged 6 years.

Correction by Tom Jackson, recent check has shown that Isabella Fraser may not have come from Resolis as her Father Thomas Fraser on checking the marriage details is listed as of ALLIGIN.
