CHARLES GREVILLE MACKENZIE/infant son of/Capt. KENNETH MACKENZIE/of Newton/born 26 August 1789 died 5 May 1790.

To God who lifts our comforts high/orsinks them in the grave/he gives (and blessed be his name)/he takes but what he gave.

Capt K MACKENZIE/Newton/father of the said child/died at Fortrose/4th June 1795/aged 51 years/was also interred here.
