Mrs Margaret Anderson & Alexander McGlashan

Sacred/to the memory of/Mrs MARGARET ANDERSON/wife of/ALEXr McGLASHAN/schoolmaster of Contin/who died 2nd Oct. 1871/aged 33 years/and of the said ALEXr McGLASHAN FEIS/schoolmaster of Contin for 44 years/who died in Edinburgh/9th Jany 1923 aged 88 years/and is interred in/Morningside Cemetery.

A contributor in Australia comments "Margaret Anderson, born on 22 June 1838 in Insch, was one of eleven children, the daughter of James Anderson and Margaret Talbert. I have information on all Margaret's siblings with the exception of George Anderson, born in Drumblade, Insch on 15 June 1830. I would very much like additional information re the McGlashan family and George Anderson whom I seem to have 'lost' after the 1851 Census.

Eliza, a sister of Margaret, is buried at Alness [Image No. 4712].
