James Macrae, James & Christina (Robertson) Macrae

In/memory of/the Rev/JAMES D. MACRAE/Minister of Contin/who died 3rd Sept 1905/aged 53 years/ordained in 1871 he/faithfully served his/master in the parishes/of Burghead & Clyne/and for 22 years/this Parish.He was a true and consistent Christian/a warm and attached/friend and a beloved pastor.



and his wife/CHRISTINA ROBERTSON/who died at Heriot Mount/Dingwall/on 7 Nov. 1933.

A wonderful surprise to find this photo of the memorial to my great-great grandfather. Thank you. The only slight possible misinterpretation might be in that Christina Robertson was the wife of James Duncan (minister) and not of James P R. (who was their son)

Thank you for pointing that out, James. Now corrected. I remember this stone well. It was difficult to photograph because of the relection etc, hence the poor image.
