I am researching my great grandmother Jessie Mclennan who immigrated to the USA about 1880 and settled on San Juan Island, Washington State. Her mother's name was Charlotte Ross and her father was John Mclennan. Her birth date was October 22, 1862 in Ross shire. Perhaps near Alness. I have a letter which states that her paternal grandmother Mclennan was a dairy maid at Teaninick Castle. Any information anyone can provide would be much appreciated.
