Erected/by/his sons/to the memory/of their beloved father/FARQUHAR MATHESON/who died/at Kirkton of Lochalsh/on the 4th day of March 1854/aged 63 years/and/CATHERINE MATHESON his wife/died 28th April 1868. Also two of their/sons DONALD who died 2nd Nov. 1884/and JAMES died in 1881.
Leave thy fatherless children I/will preserve them alive. Jei. XLIX.II.
