James & Barbara (Logan) Cameron

Here rest/the mortal remains of/JAMES CAMERON Esq./Lieu. H P of Her Majesty's/77th Regt of Foot/for nearly a quarter of a century/factor in the neighbouring estate of Kilcoy & Drynie/the arduous duties/which devolved upon him/throughout his long life/were discharged with unusual energy/judgment and fidelity/he was also endeared/to the tenantry/by the integrity of his dealings/with them/and his sincere regard/for their interests/He was the warm friend/of the deserving in whatever rank/and has left many attached friends/as well as mourning relatives/to revere his memory/he died on the 12th Sept 1849/aged 74 years/and also of his wife/BARBARA LOGAN/who departed this life on the 10th day of Sept. 1875/in the 90th year of her age.
