In/loving memory of/MARY ANN MACLEAN/who died 23rd Sept. 1966/also her husband/MALCOLM MACARTHUR/and their son/RODERICK MACARTHUR/lost at sea 1943.

Roderick Maclean Macarthur was able seaman on MV Tuscan Star. He was a gunner and was torpedoed and killed on 6/09/1942 on a journey from South America to Liverpool.He is commemorated on the Dundonnel war memorial.
