Donald & Catherine (Munro)Ross.

To the memory/of/DONALD ROSS/joiner, Dundonnell who died 18th April 1882/aged 82 years/and of his wife/CATHERINE MUNRO/who died 1st May 1841/aged 37 years.


Erected by their son/JOHN ROSS of Castle Maine, Victoria.

My Great Grandfather had this grave stone erected for his father and mother. His two brothers and he left Scotland and eventually ended up in Australia in 1857. John settled in Castlemaine in the State of Victoria and remained there all his life. His grave is near his brother, Donald's just outside Castlemaine at Campbells Creek. It was so pleasing to find this photograph. One day I will visit.
