In memory/of/MARY McKENZIE/daughter of/KENNETH McKENZIE Rherivach/who died on the 8th Decr. 1877/aged 33 years.

Mary died of Pulmonary Consumption (TB) on the 8th December 1877 at 4pm in her home, Rherivach (Scoraig)after an illnes lasting six months.
I can't imagine how the family would have transported Mary's body to the Bard Buie burial ground in December from Rherivach. I imagine the weather would have been harsh.
She must have been very special to have had a headstone erected as I'm sure the family wouldn't have had a lot of money.
