Beneath this stone lie/interred the remains of/Mrs VERE CAMPBELL/relict of SIMON/McKENZIE Esq. of/Scotsburn she dep/arted this life at Cromarty on/the 5th day of/June 1812.

To her may be truth be/applied the following portion/of scripture The meek will/he guide in Judgement and the meek will he teach his way/all the paths of the Lord are/mercy and truth unto such as/keep his covenant and this testimonies. PS. XXV V. 9.10.
