Mary (Sproxton) Ogilvie.

Erected by/JOHN OGILVY/Commercial Bank/Cromarty/memoriam/his beloved wife/MARY SPROXTON/who died 10th June 1866/aged 23 years..


Her whole trust was in Christ/and she is blessed.

This is the gravestone of my great, grand mother, Mary Sproxton wife of John Ogilvie of the Commercial Bank in Cromarty. I visited St Regulas about 10 years ago and took several photographs of the grave. Her husband John Ogilvie is buried at Birnie Churchyard out side Elgin. As far as I know, no one is in the other side of the double grave.
