Comments

Andrew Blake was not James's beloved son - he was his brother, who also died in 1896 not 1886 (I have checked with Scotland's People). I was rather hoping to find their parents, who were probably also buried in this churchyard and who are on the 1871 census but not that of 1881. Scotland's People gives their years of death as John in 1873 aged 86 and Janet in 1879 aged 82, district Urray
