Sacred to the memory of/ALEXANDER MACRAE son of AL./MACRAE of Achtertyre who/died while pursuing [..../...?]on the 14 June 1810 in/the 22 year of his age.
This stone is placed as/a tribute of affection by his/father. The latter xii (ALASDAIR DONN) first/tacksman there 1832 his wife ISABEL dau. of/IAIN OG s. of Rev. DON. MACRAE of Inverinate/predeceased him. Their sons JOHN Div. student/FARQUHAR teacher d. 1839, DONALD planter/Demerara & tacksman of Achtertyre at [Adh?] Farm House 1775-1848, and his wife/JANE dau. of ARCHD, sp. to Col. Sir JOHN/MACRAE K. D. H. Ardintoul, their family/JESSIE M. (Mrs Stewart) died at Duntulm/JAMES at Achtertyre, ARCHY/JOHN M.D. Surgeon EIHCMS at Cawn/pore 1857 - xiii DUNCAN eldest son Sergt/Seaforth Hrs farmer Auchmore d. at Auchter/tyre 1860 his wife CHRISTINA, dau. of/[...?] MACKENZIE farmer Braintra died at Aver/nish 1874 their sons - JOHN & his wife/[...?] on hd stone. DONALD/(Domhnold Ban) eldest s. 1808-1888 his wife MARGARET MATHESON 1821-80/[....?] and their granson MURDO MACRAE 1877.
