Catherine (Watson) Ross.

In memory of/CATHERINE WATSON/his spouse who died the/9th April [??] aged 29 years/also their daughter MARY ROSS/who died an infant.

The MI has the inscription as "Placed by John Ross, innkeeper Cromarty- in memory of Catherine Watson his spouse who died the 9th April 1793 aged 29 years- also their daughter Mary Ross who died an infant"
They had 3 children, Margaret who also died as an infant about 1789 and who is commemorated on a separate stone in this cemetery and David Ross, born 1793, who grew to manhood and emigrated to Canada. John Ross remarried to Ann Mustard and had more children.
