In loving memory/of our dear father/ALEXANDER ROSS/died 28th September 1943 aged 73 years/our dear mother/JESSIE MACKAY/died 18th March 1956, aged 76 years/and our beloved brother/FINLAY ROSS R.N.R/who died as result of war injuries/20th January 1960, aged 53 years/["recent"]/also two children died in infancy.
