Archibald John MacRae

This stone in honoured and living memory of ARCHIBALD JOHN MacRAE/lieutenant, 4th Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders. died of wounds on 5th October 1918. Interred in Houchin British Cemetery, France.

Note: Archibald was the son of Roderick & Margaret (Mackenzie) MacRae, Gladstine House, Beauly (see Image No. 14668).

Records of the Cameron Highlanders he served with the 4th Battalion and was posted to the 1st Battalion on 27April 1916. He was killed whilst serving with 8th Seforth Highlanders and is buried at Houchin British Cemetery
