In memory of/SUTHERLAND MURRAY/tacksman of Rosemount and Balchery/in this parish/and of Kirkton near Golspie/who died on the 15th Novr. 18[66?]/aged 38 years/third son of/WILLIAM MURRAY junior/and also of his wife/ALEXANDRINA ROSS/daughter of WILLIAM BAILLIE ROSS M.D./born 12th January 183[0?], died 21st October 1914.

Alexandrina Ross was born 12 January 1831. Her parents were Dr William Baillie Ross surgeon 7th Dragoon Guards (later surgeon of Tain) and Georgina Reid.
