Patrick & William Macleod.


Sacred to the memory/of PATRICK, the third son/and WILLIAM, the fourth son/of DONALD MACLEOD Esq. of Geanies/the former of whom/Lieutenant Colonel of the LXXVIIth Regiment of Foot/having early entered into the army/served with the highest reputation/in the Low Countries, at the Cape of Good Hope/in the East Indies/in Italy at the memorable Battle of Maida/where he eminently distinguished himself/at the head of that gallant regiment/and lastly in Egypt/where he fell gloriously/in the important Battle of el Hamed/on the XXIth of April MDCCCVII/in the thirty second year of his age.



The latter/a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy. in which he served with zeal and honour/from his earliest youth/highly esteemed by the commanders with whom he sailed/and respected by the whole circle of his acquaintances/as a brave and meritorious officer/die at Lisbon the XXIXth of  March MDCCCV/in the twenty eighth year of his age.
