Erected/by/JESSIE & JANE ELLISON/in loving memory of their mother/JANE ARCHIE ELLISON/widow of DUNCAN ELLISON/merchant at Cromarty/an affectionate and devoted mother/a kind and charitable friend, a quiet and constant christian she lived to/a ripe age among her own people/and died 19 Dec 1901 aged 75 years/The above DUNCAN ELLISON/died 28th April 1857 aged 42 years/Two sons of Duncan & Jane ELlison/DUNCAN born at Cromarty/30th Aug 1845/died at Bombay 1890/and COLIN/born 13th Jan 1847 died 23rd Jan 1863/also a grandson JAMIE/died 8th Jan 1877 aged 1 year and 10 months/COLIN ARCHIE merchant at Cromarty/and his wife ISABELLA NOBLE ARCHIE/the parents of JANE ARCHIE ELLISON/also lie buried in this churchyard.

In memory of her beloved sister/JANE ELLISON/born 7th March 1851 died 13th May 1913/devoted and dutiful daughter/kind and affectionate sister/Well done good and faithful servant/enter then unto the joy of the Lord/To the glory of God/and in memory of/JESSIE ELLISON ARCHIBALD/1846-1930/and to her daughter/JESSIE ARCHIBALD/18th Jan. 1883 - 25th March 1946.
