Could this Janet Patience (nee Skinner) be the daughter of Donald and Margaret. If there is a death notice of Janet we might have their parents listed on it.that would confirm it

Is Donald Skinner not too young to have fathered either Donald or Janet? If the dates and age on the headstone are correct, he was born in 1731.

I think that Donald's age is misread on the headstone. His wife Margaret was born in 1705 (her dates are clearer) and Donald was likely born about that time, rather than in 1731. The booklet for the churchyard sold by the historical society has a different age: "Skinner Donald 1783 65 Avoch Old Churchyard 129". If this is the same stone then he would have been born in 1718 which is a little better. Donald would then have been about 19 or 20 when Jannet was born.
