Alexander & Isabella (Maclennan) Watson, d. Jane.

Erected/in loving memory/of/ALEXANDER WATSON/farmer/Auchterflow, Munlochy/who died 11th August 1907/aged 68 years years and ISABELLA MACLENNAN his wife/who died 15th Sept. 1921/aged 82 years/and their daughter/JANE WATSON/who died at Auchterflow/6th February 1912, aged 45 years.

Alexander Watson is the son of John Watson and Catherine Mustard, b. 1812. Alexander and Isabella farmed at Auchterflow from at least 1891. They had 5 children between 1855 and 1866 when they were living in Rosemarkie. Isabella's birth date on the census records looks to be 1841 and when I look at the stone the age at death could very likely be 82, not 62. Her youngest child Jane, b. 1866, also included on the stone, proves that Isabella could not have been born in 1859, as the transcription suggests.
