In above transcription the year of death for Margaret Elder should be 1896 not 1806; she died Jan. 22, 1896 at Geddeston, Avoch, widow of David Ross, Gardener; female age 73 years; father George Elder, Estate Factor, and mother Elizabeth Christie. So she was born about 1823. Her father born about 1783 to 1803? She had a brother George Elder who died July 25, 1898 at age 71 years, at Kiltearn in Ross County. George was married to Elizabeth Courthope?Cowthorpe? Howe.
