Erected by/JAMES MACDONALD/in memory of/his beloved wife/ANNIE URQUHART/daughter of/JOHN URQUHART/mason contractor/who died at Newton, Kinkell/5 Feby 1929 aged 65/also/their dear daughter/MARGARET/died 24th April 1923/and the said/JAMES MACDONALD/died at Newto, Kinkell/8th July 1943.

james and annie had 3 children there youngest a daughter died age 24.annie father was a mason her mother jessie nee gray died at inverness.i do know her mother is buried at old urquhart.

James was born at newton, in 1859.He married annie, in 1892.James was a crofter.His daughter margaret, was a typist.

Annie's mother Jessie Urquhart is buried in evan cameron [3113] brother duncan family plot.so is annie daughter margaret died 1923.jessie died 1904 in inverness.
