This is the gravestone of my great, great grandparents! They had a son called Duncan Maciver who moved to Leeds and later Bradford and was a successful photographer until he lost the business in a fire. He had 4 children with his wife Elizabeth and one was Ian Duncan my grandfather. My grandfather was very proud of his Scottish roots. Ian fought in both world was. He married my beloved grandmother Olive and had two children, Catherine Ina Maciver, my mum and Finley Maciver, my uncle. I am one of 3 sisters and have 2 children. I would like to visit the grave and pay my respects. Vicky Palmer.

Beautiful wee burial ground but remember your anti-midge cream Vicky.

Thanks for the tip! I always come prepared so that will be first on the list. It looks as if many of my ancestors are buried here and I have never been to this part of Scotland! Maybe when I retire I will find the time to finally do it!
