Alexander & Christina (Mackenzie) Munro, Isabella.

Sacred/to/the memory of/ALEXANDER MUNRO/who died 11th Octr 1878/at Tarvie aged 94/and/his beloved wife/CHRISTINA MACKENZIE/a noble and Christian mother/died 11th Jany 1886/aged 88/also their daughter/ISABELLA, died 11th Novr 1879/aged 56.

This is the grave of my great-great-great grandfather and grandmother and their eldest daughter. Alexander and Christina (also known as Christian and Christy in census documents) raised nine children in Tarvie. Descendents of three of the sons are in New Zealand and Australia, others are in Canada.

This is the grave of my great-great-great grandfather & grandmother & their eldest daughter. My great grandfather Thomas (Thos) Munro emigrated to New Zealand via Australia (the goldfields) & finally settled in Mangaweka North Island NZ where he was a storekeeper/farmer. Thomas was the youngest child of Alexander & Christina. Thomas married Isabella Dunbar born Forres Morayshire Scotland & had a family of 4. I have info to share on Thomas & his siblings Alexander & Roderick Munro who all settled New Zealand.
