William Cameron was the nephew of my great, great, great grandfather Thomas Mackenzie (1778-1855). Thomas's sister/William's mother was Katherine Mackenzie (1771- ) and she was married to Alexander Cameron (1762-1845) who was a grocer at Mulchaich. William's siblings were Mary (1804- ), John (1808- ) and James (1810 -).
Apart from the above named children William was also the father to the Reverend Alexander Cameron (1845-1923) who was a Church Minister at Sleat, Skye. There were also daughters Katherine (1847-1925) and Isabella (1853-1925).

Reverend William Cameron was my great-great grandfather. His son, also William, was my great grandfather. He came to Canada in the 1880's to develop farm land in Saskatchewan for an English company, Sykes Bros. When he retired he moved his family to the Okanagan Valley which is much like Scotland in appearance.
