Sacred/to the memory of/DONALD JACK son of/DAVID JACK/fisherman at Culloden Point who departed/this life 21st December 1821/aged 21 years/Here rests in peace lifes/fleeting journey over/he whom a Father,Mother/friends deplore/Esteemed, beloved by all/he hoped through life/ a loving brother still opposed to strife, in him a father's favourite hope is gone a mother's tender care and dearest son;anticipation promised then aboon but death's cold hand has laid it in the tomb.
