Francis Innes.

Erecred/to the memory of/FRANCIS INNES Esq. C.E./who died suddenly at Paris/on 26th August 1855 aged 48 years/the deceased was born in this/parish of Rosskeen and at an/early are left Scotland/after which by his genius/industry and perseverance/raised his position to that/of an eminent railway/engineer in England and on/the Continent. His talents/social intercourse, kind and/generous disposition, endeared/him to a large circle of/scientific and devoted/friends as well as afflicted/relatives at home and/abroad who valued and/will mourn and regret his/departed worth.

This tribute of respect is/placed here by his only/surviving sister/ANN ROSS.

Can anyone provide the dates on the Headstone as I think he maybe one of my ancestors - a Francis Innes born 1807 at Rosskeen
