Hi, thank you for this. I've been looking for their graves for a while. I had thought that Annie Airlie and family had emigrated to Canada!
My dad Andy would have been your grand mother's cousin. There are only two of Donald's children left, Peter and Jessie, both are in their 90's.

That is interesting as my father was contacted shortly before he died by someone claiming to be a relative of the Airlie's from Canada. He sent the a couple of copies of pictures of the Airlie family.
Daniel's cousin Neil was captured at st vallery and spent the rest of the war as a pow. There is a display in Dingwall museum with him .

Hi, my great great grandfather was Annie Airlie nee Cameron. Donald James Cameron, her son, was my great grandfather. If anyone would like to email me so we can talk, please do.
Added by Abigail Cameron on 06 September 2015.
Hello, My great grandmother was Jamesina Cameron, sister of Donald and Annie. She married Alexander MacDonald, and had 5 children, including my grandfather James. They lived at Newton Kinkell, on a croft that their son Sandy lived on until he passed away this summer (2017). Sandy was a mason (just like Donald), heavily involved in the restoration of Kinkell Castle. I'm trying to piece together this Cameron line. Their paternal grandfather, John Cameron, was seemingly born in Lochalsh around 1818. Does anyone know what year he died, and where?
