Poolewe Burial Ground.

The Poolewe Burial Ground is accessed by a short road off the main road in the village at Londubh on the west side of the caravan/camp site.

The above image is an extract from an information board at the site.  In 1992, a pre-Christian Pictish stone was identified within the burial ground. At the time, this is one of two such stones to be found on mainland West of Scotland. Subsequently, the burial ground has been designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

A very informative booklet has been published by Wester Loch Ewe Community Council 'Poolewe: Londudh Burial Ground & Pictish Stone'.
