Donald served in WWI in the 4th Btn Seaforth Highlanders, from 1914 until 1918. He was wounded twice in that war. His brother Ewen served in the same war in the Royal Engineers.
Donald's mother-in-law, Marjory (BLACK) MacCALLUM, and her family were for a time (1920s) proprietors of the
Strathpeffer Spa Pavilion. (dfg20130220-1834).
