In memory of/the Rev. ALEX. MacCOLL/ordained/first Free Church minister/of Duirinish, Skye in 1862/translated/to Fort Augustus in 1870/to Lochalsh in 1877/died there on the/22nd day of January 1889.
A Christian and a patriot/a powerful and an impressive preacher/a stern reprover of sin/Faithful and tender in his appeals/to the unconverted/and a son of consolation/to the people of God.
